Touching Hearts at Home of Brevard opened its doors in Palm Bay on March 5, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 4 to 6 p.m. The new facility offers non-medical in-home care services for seniors, allowing them to stay in their own homes while receiving assistance. Located at 1234 Palm Bay Drive, the center serves residents across Brevard County.
The organization provides companionship, personal care, transportation, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia is also available. Services are tailored to each client’s needs, with care plans designed to fit their lifestyle.
The event drew local officials, family members, and staff. Karen Thompson, director of Touching Hearts at Home of Brevard, said the new location addresses a growing need in the community. 'We’ve seen a rise in seniors seeking help to stay independent,' she said. 'This facility allows us to expand our reach in Palm Bay and surrounding areas.'
The center employs over 50 caregivers trained in elder care. Clients can book services through a 24-hour hotline. Touching Hearts at Home of Brevard is part of a statewide network with locations in Melbourne, Titusville, and Cocoa.
The ribbon-cutting follows a year of planning. The facility includes a training room for staff and a small office for administrative work. No medical services are offered, but the center coordinates with local providers for referrals when needed.
