Winter — Florida strawberries run roughly December through April, backwards from up north. Sledd’s U-Pick in Mims is the best-known local patch; picking hours depend on weather and what’s ripe, so check their page before driving up.
Where can I pick blueberries on the Space Coast?+
Mims is Brevard’s u-pick corner: Williams U-Pick Farm runs blueberries roughly March through May, and Ever After Farms picks blueberries in spring and peaches in May.
Which farmers markets run every week?+
The Brevard County Farmers Market at Wickham Park runs Thursday afternoons year-round, and Melbourne has Saturday markets at Riverview Park downtown and Pineapple Park in Eau Gallie. The Satellite Beach market at Pelican Beach Park runs Thursdays from September through May.
When are mangoes in season here?+
Summer — roughly July through September. Nick’s Island Tropical Fruit on Merritt Island and JTA Farms in Grant-Valkaria both grow them, along with lychees, longans and other tropicals you won’t find in a supermarket.
