SpaceX will attempt to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Friday, March 27. The mission is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and last until 11 a.m., with the rocket carrying 29 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit. This will be the 34th flight of the Falcon 9 first-stage booster, which has previously supported missions like Crew-3, CRS-22, and multiple Starlink deployments. The booster will attempt to land on the droneship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean after stage separation.

The launch comes as part of SpaceX’s ongoing effort to expand its global broadband network through the Starlink project. The satellites will be deployed into low-Earth orbit, where they will join thousands of others to provide internet coverage worldwide. This mission follows a series of recent launches from the Space Coast, including a Falcon 9 flight on March 20 that delivered a batch of Starlink satellites.

The booster used for this mission has a long history of reuse, having previously supported 12 different missions across commercial and government contracts. It last flew in December 2025, delivering supplies to the International Space Station as part of the CRS-25 mission. SpaceX engineers have said the booster’s performance has remained consistent despite its multiple flights, a key factor in the company’s efforts to reduce launch costs.

Local residents and space enthusiasts are expected to gather near the launch site to watch the event, though viewing areas are limited due to security restrictions. The launch will be broadcast on Space Coast Daily TV and streamed online. This mission is the second SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral in March, following a successful Falcon 9 flight on March 15 that deployed a different set of Starlink satellites.
