SpaceX launched a resupply mission to the International Space Station from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40 on Saturday, April 10, 2026. The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 7:41 a.m. ET carrying more than 11,000 pounds of science equipment, food, and hardware for astronauts aboard the ISS. The mission, known as NG-24, was delayed multiple times this week before finally launching after being pushed back from Tuesday through Friday. SpaceX did not explain the delays, but the next potential launch window was set for Sunday at 7:15 a.m. ET if the mission had been scrubbed.

The launch marked the seventh flight for the Falcon 9’s first-stage booster, B1094. The rocket previously supported missions including Starlink satellite deployments, Axiom 4, and NASA’s Crew-11. After stage separation, the booster landed on Landing Zone 40 at Cape Canaveral, producing sonic booms audible to nearby residents. The Cygnus XL spacecraft, operated by Northrop Grumman under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract, will deliver 3,108 pounds of crew supplies, 2,369 pounds of scientific experiments, and 4,673 pounds of vehicle hardware to the ISS.

The mission includes experiments related to microgravity research, including studies on plant growth and material behavior in space. NASA officials said the cargo will support ongoing research and maintenance work aboard the orbiting laboratory. The Cygnus spacecraft will remain docked to the ISS for several months before being released to burn up in Earth’s atmosphere.

This is the 24th mission in Northrop Grumman’s Commercial Resupply Services program, which has delivered over 65 tons of cargo to the ISS since 2013. The launch was the first from Cape Canaveral this year and the second SpaceX mission to the ISS in 2026, following a Crew Dragon flight in February. No major technical issues were reported during the launch, and the spacecraft is expected to arrive at the ISS within 24 hours of liftoff.
