This flight marks the final mission for SpaceX’s Falcon 9 booster B1069, which has completed over 30 launches since its first flight in 2016. The booster will be retired after this mission, with plans for a burial at sea. SpaceX has reused other boosters multiple times, but B1069’s extensive service history makes its retirement a notable event for the Space Coast’s launch industry.
