SpaceX is targeting Monday night for the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the EchoStar XXV satellite from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The 149-minute launch window opens at 11:19 p.m. ET, with a backup opportunity on Tuesday, March 10, during the same timeframe. The mission will mark the first flight of the Falcon 9’s Block 5 variant from the East Coast.
The EchoStar XXV satellite is designed to deliver high-definition video and content across North America for Dish Network. It uses steerable beams to direct capacity to areas with the highest demand. Dish Network had 7 million pay-TV subscribers as of early 2026, according to the company. The satellite will replace older systems and expand coverage for the service.
The launch is part of SpaceX’s ongoing commercial contracts with satellite operators. The Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from the same pad used for previous missions, including Starlink launches. If the Monday attempt is scrubbed, engineers will have until 12:07 a.m. ET Tuesday to try again.
