Developers are advancing a new phase of the 225-acre Space Coast Town Center project in West Melbourne, Florida. The Landing at Space Coast will include a grocery store, retail shops, restaurants, and 300 apartment units near the intersection of U.S. 192 and Interstate 95. Edgar Jones, a principal with the development, said the site’s proximity to the Space Coast’s aerospace, defense, and healthcare industries makes it an attractive location. The project is part of a larger plan that will eventually include over 2,000 residential units, 300 hotel rooms, office space, and additional retail when fully completed. Construction will proceed in phases as plans move through approval processes. Local residents note the growth aligns with rising demand for housing and amenities across Central Florida. The first phase of the town center opened in 2022, featuring office space and retail. Developers expect The Landing to break ground later this year, with completion expected by 2028.
