Lisa Davidson’s name is etched into the history of Florida State University softball, a legacy celebrated this week as the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame highlights her impact. Davidson, a 2014 inductee, led the Lady Seminoles to four consecutive ACC championships and three World Series appearances during her college career in the 1990s. Her achievements helped establish Florida State as a powerhouse in collegiate softball.
Davidson was the second Florida State player ever named an All-American, a distinction she earned while playing for the Lady Seminoles. Nearly a decade after graduating, she was honored again in 2003 when the ACC formed a 50th-anniversary team for each sport. She was selected as one of 24 Florida State softball players on the ACC’s softball team, a testament to her enduring influence on the program.
In 2005, Davidson became the first player from the 1990s FSU softball teams to be inducted into the Florida State Hall of Fame.
