Brevard County ended 2025 with a record 109 orbital launches, the highest number in the region's history, as SpaceX, United Launch Alliance and Blue Origin accelerated their operations. The Space Coast's launch schedule is expected to remain busy in 2026, with 13 orbital launches planned so far this year, including NASA's Artemis II mission. The latest data shows 83 launches from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and 26 from Kennedy Space Center in 2025, with SpaceX accounting for 101 of those flights.
SpaceX dominated the 2025 totals with 101 Falcon 9 launches, while ULA contributed six flights and Blue Origin added two with its New Glenn rocket. The year also included four human spaceflights: SpaceX Crew-10, Crew-11, Ax-4 and NASA's Fram2 mission. This year's activity follows a trend of increasing launches, with 93 orbital missions in 2024 and 72 in 2023.
The most recent launch occurred on Feb. 24 at 6:04 p.m. from Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 40. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carried 29 Starlink satellites on the Starlink 6-110 mission. This was the 10th flight of the first-stage booster, which landed at Landing Zone 4. The mission marked the 12th SpaceX orbital launch of 2026, with one ULA Vulcan flight and no Blue Origin launches so far this year.
Looking back, 2024 saw 88 SpaceX launches, including two Falcon Heavy missions, while ULA flew five rockets. In 2023, SpaceX launched 68 rockets, including five Falcon Heavy missions, and Relativity Space made its first orbital flight. Human spaceflight activity has also grown, with four missions in 2025 compared to three in 2023.
NASA's Artemis II mission is expected to launch later this year, adding to the Space Coast's already packed schedule. The region's launch sites remain critical infrastructure for commercial and government space operations, with Cape Canaveral handling all 13 planned orbital launches in 2026. The numbers show no signs of slowing down as companies and agencies continue to expand their presence on the Space Coast.
