The Space Coast ended 2025 with a record 109 launches from SpaceX, United Launch Alliance, and Blue Origin. With 2026 already showing 49 orbital launches through July 30, the region is poised to match or exceed that number as SpaceX, ULA, Blue Origin, and NASA prepare for major missions. This includes NASA’s first Artemis II launch, which will carry astronauts beyond the moon for the first time since the Apollo era. As of July 30, 47 of this year’s launches have occurred at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and two at Kennedy Space Center. SpaceX leads with 42 launches, including 41 Falcon 9 rockets and one Falcon Heavy. ULA has conducted five launches, and Blue Origin contributed one New Glenn rocket for the National Reconnaissance Office’s NROL-95 mission. NASA’s Space Launch System rocket is scheduled for Artemis II later this year. 2025 saw 109 launches, including four human spaceflights, while 2024 had 93 launches and 2023 saw 72. The most recent launch on July 30 was SpaceX’s Falcon 9 carrying a classified payload for the National Reconnaissance Office from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40.
