Space Coast Credit Union has opened its second branch in Palm Coast, located at 1234 Main Street. The new facility joins the credit union’s existing branch in the area, which opened in 2021. The expansion comes as the credit union seeks to meet growing demand for financial services in the region. "We’re committed to serving the community where our members live and work," said Sarah Thompson, a spokesperson for the credit union. "This new branch allows us to provide more convenient access to our services." The 2,500-square-foot space includes teller windows, a business lending center, and a community meeting room. It also features a drive-thru lane, which will be available starting next week. The credit union reported a 15% increase in membership in Palm Coast over the past year, according to internal data. This growth has been fueled in part by the area’s expanding population and the credit union’s focus on personalized financial education programs. The new branch will host free workshops on topics like budgeting and small business loans. Local officials praised the move, calling it a "positive step for economic development." Mayor John Martinez said the credit union’s investment "supports jobs and strengthens our local economy." The branch is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The credit union plans to host a grand opening event next month, though details have not been finalized.
