Satellite Beach High School's junior varsity and varsity girls volleyball teams played their first matches of the 2026 season on August 20 against West Shore. The games, part of the Brevard County Athletic Conference schedule, were photographed by local sports photographer Mike Regas. Regas captured 37 images of the junior varsity match and 64 photos of the varsity game, which took place at Satellite Beach High School's athletic complex. The photos show players from both teams in action during what was described as a competitive evening of volleyball. Regas, who has covered local sports for over a decade, said the matches featured strong performances from Satellite Scorpions players. The images are available for viewing on the Sports Illustrated website and through the school district's media portal. The games marked the start of the season for Satellite Beach's volleyball programs, which have historically competed in the conference's top divisions.
