Satellite High School's football team delivered a commanding performance in a 35-2 win over Seabreeze on Sept. 4, 2026, extending its shutout streak to 188:41 minutes. The Scorpions, coming off two road victories, faced their first true test of the season against the unbeatens from FHSAA Class 4A. Coach Dan Burke called it a 'rivalry' and praised his team's preparation after a short week. 'We prepared hard,' Burke said. 'They played well in every facet of the game.'
The defense set the tone early, with linebacker Anthony Romero forcing a fumble on Seabreeze quarterback Noah Bogdanowicz. Defensive lineman Max Lopez recovered the ball, and the Scorpions' defense limited Seabreeze to just three possessions in the red zone. The Sandcrabs punted six times, with their only points coming from a safety on a high snap. 'They were flying around, making plays,' Burke said. 'Proud of them. They prepare hard too.'
Linebacker Luke Herte made a pivotal hit on Seabreeze wide receiver Danny Spada in the third quarter, leading to an interception by defensive back Kade Whitworth. 'You’ll find plays like Kade Whitworth,' Burke said. 'Somebody different steps up. It’s a great team effort.' The offense capitalized on three takeaways, scoring three touchdowns. Quarterback Brody Grennan completed 155 passing yards and two touchdowns, while three rushers also found the end zone.
Burke emphasized the team's unity and execution. 'We came out and punched them in the mouth,' he said. 'Controlled the ball. We played the way you’re supposed to play.' The win keeps Satellite undefeated and sets the stage for a challenging season ahead.
