The event is free and open to the public, featuring live music, games, refreshments, and appearances by big trucks. The library opened in April 1966, founded by the Satellite Beach Women’s Club and Satellite Beach Lions Club. Over six decades, it has expanded its services while remaining a cornerstone of the community.

The celebration will include a musical performance by John Henry Good, along with activities for children and adults. The library’s director, Maria Lopez, said the event aims to highlight the branch’s role in connecting residents to resources and programs. 'We’ve seen the library grow from a small space to a hub for learning and community engagement,' Lopez said. The event will also showcase historical photos and memorabilia from the library’s early years.
