The Rockledge High School boys JV soccer team fell to Viera 3-0 on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in a non-conference game at Viera's home field. The loss moves Rockledge to 3-4-2 on the season, while Viera improves to 14-2-2. The game was part of a busy week for both teams ahead of district play.

Viera dominated early, scoring the first goal in the 22nd minute and adding two more before halftime. Rockledge struggled to generate consistent offense, with only two shots on goal throughout the match. Viera's defense held firm, limiting Rockledge to just three corners.

This is the fifth straight win for Viera in non-conference games, a streak that includes victories over Palm Bay and South Fork. Rockledge coach Mike Thompson said after the game that his team needs to improve its transition from defense to attack.

The Hawks will face West Orange in their next non-conference game on Friday, while Rockledge hosts Cocoa on Saturday. Both teams are in the process of finalizing their district schedules for the upcoming weeks.
