The Raiders, who entered the game with an 18-8 record, improved to 19-8 while Satellite fell to 5-17. Rockledge scored 28 points in the first quarter and maintained strong offensive output throughout, outscoring Satellite by 65 points.
The game, part of the Space Coast Conference schedule, saw Rockledge dominate on both ends of the court. The Raiders shot 52% from the field and held Satellite to just 12% shooting. Rockledge's defense forced 24 turnovers, leading to 28 points off the miscues. Senior guard Emily Carter led the way with 22 points and six assists, while forward Sarah Mitchell added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Satellite struggled to find rhythm early, scoring just 10 points total across the first three quarters. The visiting Raiders capitalized on defensive stops and quick transitions, building a 43-5 lead by halftime. Rockledge's bench contributed 25 points, including 12 from sophomore reserve Mia Lopez, who scored all her points in the fourth quarter.
The win keeps Rockledge in contention for a top seed in the upcoming conference tournament. Head coach Mark Thompson praised his team's execution. 'We focused on fundamentals all week,' he said. 'The girls executed our game plan and played as a unit.' Satellite coach Lisa Nguyen said her team needs to regroup quickly. 'We have a lot to work on,' she said.
