City officials say they will monitor usage patterns before finalizing plans for the second ramp. The boat ramp project is part of a larger effort to boost tourism in the area. The city estimates the park could attract 50,000 visitors annually once both ramps are open. Construction on the second ramp is underway and expected to be completed by the end of the month.
