The NY Rockets, a Long Island-based rockabilly band, will perform their 'Good Rockin' Tonight' concert at Merritt Island Moose Lodge 2073 on July 25. The show will feature music from 1950s and '60s icons like Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash. Tickets for the 7 p.m. event are priced at $35 and $45.
The concert, organized by Allengang Entertainment, will include Vegas-style stage production with Broadway sets, lights and special effects. Stan Allen, CEO of Allengang, called the show '90 minutes of pure Vegas-style energy with songs that never go out of style.' The performance will highlight the band's unique blend of rockabilly, swing and surf rock.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the event, which will be held in the lodge's round tables seating eight people each. A full liquor bar will offer pub fare and drinks. Members of the lodge can stay after the show for 'Moose After Dark,' a post-concert event featuring local DJs.
The NY Rockets, originally formed in New York, have been performing in Florida for years. The July 25 concert will mark their latest production, which includes tributes to artists like Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and the Stray Cats. The band has previously performed at venues across the state, drawing fans of classic rock and roll.
