The Kappa Chi Sigma Chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. will hold its 2026 Annual Mother’s Day Breakfast Salute on Saturday, May 9, at the Space Coast Convention Center, 301 Tucker Lane, Cocoa. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with the program running from 9 a.m. to noon. Discounted tickets are available through April 1 for $65 per adult, after which prices rise to $75 for adults and $25 for children. Tickets can be purchased online.
Gabriel Coleman, president of the Kappa Chi Sigma Chapter, confirmed the event will include a formal program honoring mothers and community leaders. The breakfast will feature food, music, and guest speakers. The convention center’s main hall will accommodate up to 500 attendees, according to event organizers.
The fraternity chapter, which has operated in Brevard County for over a decade, typically raises funds for local charities through the event. Last year’s breakfast generated over $12,000 for the Brevard Food Bank. This year’s proceeds will support the Boys & Girls Club of Brevard.
The event is part of the fraternity’s broader efforts to engage with the Space Coast community. Coleman said the chapter meets monthly at the convention center for workshops and service projects. The Mother’s Day breakfast is its largest annual fundraiser.
The convention center, which opened in 2015, has hosted similar events before. Staff said they are preparing additional security measures for the May 9 date, which falls during a busy spring travel period. Parking will be available in the center’s lot and nearby lots on Tucker Lane.
