The Space Coast Strawberry Festival will host its Mother-Daughter Look-A-Like Contest this weekend, with free registration open to participants. The event takes place March 7-8 at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera, where Kiersten Brown and her daughter Kinsley won the contest last year. Admission to the festival is $7 per person, with activities running from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The contest, which draws participants from across Brevard County, will be judged at Bob Bohm’s Magic stage inside the festival. Contestants are asked to dress in matching outfits, and winners are chosen based on resemblance. Last year’s winners, Kiersten and Kinsley, took home the top prize after judges noted their striking similarity.

Beth York, the contest host, said the event is a favorite among families. 'We get hundreds of entries every year,' York said. 'It’s amazing how many mothers and daughters look alike.' This year’s contest will follow the same format, with check-in between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The festival also features strawberry tastings, live music, and crafts. Food vendors will sell fresh strawberries, pies, and other treats. The event is held at 5775 Stadium Pkwy., Viera, near the Kennedy Space Center. Local residents and visitors are encouraged to attend, with free parking available in nearby lots.
