Merritt Island Christian School’s Class of 2026 will graduate Friday evening in a ceremony at First Baptist Church. The event begins at 7 p.m. on May 15 at the church located at 140 Magnolia Avenue in Merritt Island. The school is offering a live stream for those unable to attend in person.
The graduation will honor the achievements of the 123 seniors in the class. Family members, friends, and faculty are expected to attend. School leaders praised the graduates for their dedication and perseverance throughout their academic careers. The ceremony will include speeches, awards, and the traditional cap-and-gown procession.
The live stream will be available on the school’s website and social media pages. Parents and relatives from across Brevard County and beyond are encouraged to watch online. The school said the event is a chance for the community to celebrate the graduates’ accomplishments.
Merritt Island Christian School’s principal, Sarah Thompson, said the class has excelled academically and in extracurricular activities. She noted the graduates have been accepted to colleges and universities nationwide. The ceremony will conclude with a reception in the church’s fellowship hall.
