A mansion at 9205 S. State Road A1A in Melbourne Beach sold for $7.25 million, breaking Brevard County’s record for the highest-priced single-family oceanfront home. The sale, finalized in August 2026, exceeds the previous mark set in 2022. The property sits on nearly an acre of land with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean.

The home, built in 2005, features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a private dock. It includes a main house, a guest cottage, and a two-story garage. The buyer, a local entrepreneur, declined to comment on the purchase.

Real estate agents involved in the deal say the property’s location and size drove its value. Similar homes in the area typically sell for under $3 million. The current owner, who listed the home in March 2026, had owned it for 12 years.

The sale comes as Brevard County’s luxury real estate market continues to grow. Listings for oceanfront properties have increased by 15% year-over-year, according to county records. The previous record for a single-family home in the county was $6.1 million, set in 2022 on the Space Coast.
