The event, organized by 211 Brevard, recognizes individuals and groups across Brevard County who have made significant contributions to their communities. Finalists range from educators and healthcare workers to nonprofit leaders and local business owners. The awards ceremony will take place on December 5 at the Brevard County Convention Center in Cocoa, drawing hundreds of attendees from across the region.
This year’s competition attracted over 200 nominations, according to 211 Brevard Executive Director Sarah Johnson. The selection process involved community input and evaluations by a panel of local leaders. Finalists were chosen based on criteria such as volunteer hours, community impact, and innovation in their fields. Johnson said the event highlights the diversity of talent and dedication found throughout Brevard County. 'These finalists are doing remarkable work every day,' she said.
