LUNA Food & Wine will permanently close its Cocoa Beach restaurant on May 12 after serving its final evening on Monday, May 11. The restaurant, located at 8 Minutemen Causeway since 2017, will operate until closing with adjusted hours: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Mondays, 5 to 9 p.m. on weekends, and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A special Mother’s Day service will open at noon on May 11. Owners LeeAnn and Chef Luca Filadi confirmed the closure reflects a shift away from daily operations rather than retirement.
Chef Luca Filadi, who began his career in his family’s European restaurant as a child, has spent decades cooking globally and has received invitations to collaborate on wine dinners and events. LeeAnn said the community made their time at LUNA ‘so enjoyable’ and emphasized they will keep contact information for regular guests to inform them of future events. ‘We hope to see a lot of our favorite guests before we close,’ she said.
Guests with gift cards can redeem them for cash through May by contacting the restaurant via its website, LunaFoodandWine.com. The restaurant will remain closed permanently after May 11, with no plans to reopen. The decision comes after years of operation at the Cocoa Beach location, which has been a fixture on Minutemen Causeway since 2017.
