The Space Coast Spring Fair will host rescheduled Key Lime Pie Fest events this weekend after heavy rain forced organizers to move activities from February 22 to February 28 and March 1. The fair opens Saturday at 1 p.m. at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera, with the pie-eating contests and Little Miss Key Lime Pie Pageant set for Saturday afternoon. Weather forecasts show mostly cloudy skies with temperatures near 75 degrees, a far cry from the rain that disrupted the original schedule.
The Little Miss Key Lime Pie Festival 2026 crowned 3-year-old Esme Jenkins as the winner in the 3-6 age division. Jenkins, a returning competitor, was presented with her trophy during the original event on February 21, but the rescheduled pageant for older contestants—ages 7-12 and 13 and up—will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. The Miss division, which had no contestants on February 21, will reopen for entries this weekend. Organizers said no new competitors signed up for the 7-12 age group after the initial event, but they expect more participants at the rescheduled date.
Pie-eating contests, a staple of the festival, will also return Saturday. Last year’s event drew over 500 attendees, according to fair officials, though numbers could vary this year due to the rescheduling. The contests are held in the park’s main pavilion, adjacent to the food vendors selling key lime pie and other local specialties. A separate pie-baking competition, which took place on February 21, will not be repeated this weekend.
The fair runs through March 1, with additional events including live music, craft vendors, and a petting zoo. Parking is free, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to expected crowds. Organizers said they are working with local meteorologists to monitor conditions for the remainder of the event.
