Jack in the Box is returning to Florida with three new restaurants planned for Brevard County, marking the first locations in the state since the 1980s. The chain announced the expansion as part of a broader Southeast growth strategy, with sites set for Cocoa, Melbourne, and Palm Bay. The move follows the opening of a Longwood location in 2026, with more Florida stores expected in Orlando soon. Tim Linderman, Jack in the Box’s chief development officer, said the expansion aligns with the company’s plan to add over 400 new restaurants nationwide in the next three years. "Florida is one of the fastest-growing states in the country," Linderman said. "This is a natural fit for our brand." Currently, the chain operates 2,100 locations across 25 states. The new Brevard locations will join more than 20 store commitments in the Greater Orlando area, including sites in Ocala, Daytona Beach, and Deltona. The chain, which started in 1951, is best known for its burgers, tacos, and its iconic ping-pong-ball-headed mascot. The return comes as the company celebrates its 75th anniversary. Menu items include classic burgers, tacos, and breakfast options like its famous "Jack in the Box" breakfast sandwich. The first new Florida location opened in Longwood in 2026, with additional Orlando-area stores set to open later this year. The Brevard locations are expected to open in 2027, though exact dates have not been announced. The chain’s menu has evolved since its 1951 founding, when burgers sold for 18 cents each. Tacos, however, have remained a staple since the early days. The new restaurants will use the same franchise model as existing locations, with plans for future expansion across the state.
