"We’re going to stay warm into early next week," Watson said. "It’ll be right around the heat advisory criteria." Central Florida is under the advisory, with rain chances remaining low until later next week. Residents are being urged to take precautions. Officials recommend seeking shade, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding prolonged time in the sun. Watson emphasized the importance of checking on vulnerable individuals, such as children and pets left in vehicles. "Cars heat up very quickly," she said. "Take precautions." The heat has already begun to impact daily activities, with residents advised to limit outdoor exertion. Local businesses and schools are encouraging employees and students to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. The advisory comes as part of a broader pattern of extreme heat across the state, with similar conditions reported in Orlando, Tampa, and other parts of Central Florida.
