Gunfire struck a Titusville home early Tuesday, leaving a family shaken and police hunting for suspects. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Southeast 14th Street, according to Titusville Police Department spokesperson Officer Maria Lopez. No one was injured, but the home sustained bullet damage to the front door and nearby vehicles. The family, who declined to comment, reported hearing multiple gunshots before fleeing to a neighbor's house. Police have not yet identified any suspects. 'This is an active investigation,' Lopez said. 'We're asking anyone with information to contact us immediately.' Neighborhood residents described the area as typically quiet, with few reports of violence. 'It's shocking,' said 68-year-old retiree James Carter, who lives two blocks away. 'You don't expect something like this here.' Authorities are reviewing security camera footage and speaking with witnesses. The home's occupants, a couple in their 40s and their two children, are cooperating with detectives. No motive has been disclosed.
