A new French-inspired cafe, A La Vie Cafe, is set to open in Cocoa Beach soon, according to the owner. The establishment will serve classic French dishes and pastries, bringing a piece of European culture to the Space Coast. The cafe will occupy a storefront on North Atlantic Avenue, a busy corridor near the Cocoa Beach Pier. Whitney Carillon, a local photographer, has shared images of the upcoming space, showing the interior being prepared for its debut.
The cafe’s menu will feature items like croissants, quiche, and baguettes, with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Owner Jean-Luc Moreau, who previously operated a similar spot in Marseille, France, said he plans to maintain traditional recipes while adapting to local tastes. The space will also include a small seating area for dine-in customers, though takeout will be available for those on the go.
The opening comes as Cocoa Beach continues to diversify its dining scene, which has seen a rise in international concepts in recent years. A La Vie Cafe will be the first French-themed eatery in the area, joining a growing list of restaurants that include Japanese, Mexican, and Mediterranean options. The business is expected to create several full-time jobs, according to the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Residents and visitors have already expressed interest in the new spot, with some social media users sharing excitement about the addition. The cafe is projected to open in late May, though an exact date has not been announced. Moreau said the team is working to ensure the opening is smooth, with a focus on quality service and food. The first few weeks will include a soft opening for feedback before full public access.
