Foundation Academy, a private school located in the western part of the county, entered the game with a 2-1 record, while Cocoa Beach High, a public school with a 3-0 start, aimed to solidify its position atop the district standings.
The contest began with Cocoa Beach dominating time of possession in the first quarter, but Foundation Academy’s defense held strong, forcing two turnovers that led to short field goals. By halftime, the score was 6-3 in favor of Cocoa Beach. The second half saw a shift in momentum as Foundation Academy’s quarterback, junior Jake Martinez, connected on three long passes to move the ball downfield.
