Florida Wildlife Hospital will host its annual Spring Baby Shower on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Windover Farms, 4025 Windover Way in Melbourne. The event aims to support the hospital’s care for young animals during its busy season, with activities for all ages including games, crafts, educational talks, and meet-and-greets with ambassador animals. The hospital said the event will also include baked goods, shopping, and other family-friendly activities.

The supply drive is a key part of the event, as the hospital sees a surge in young patients each spring. Volunteers and donors will help stock the hospital’s nursery with supplies needed to care for injured or orphaned wildlife. Hospital staff said the event is critical for ensuring resources are available to treat the influx of baby animals brought in during the spring months.

The Baby Shower coincides with other community events in Brevard County on March 7, including the Fifth Annual Fore the Kids Golf Outing and the Cocoa Village Spring Fine Art and Craft Fair. Organizers said the timing allows families to attend multiple events in the area. The hospital’s event will also feature a raffle and opportunities to learn about local wildlife conservation efforts.

The event is free to attend, but donations are welcome. For more information, contact the hospital at 321-254-8843. Windover Farms, the venue, is located near several local restaurants, shops, and amenities. The hospital said the Baby Shower has become a popular annual tradition, drawing hundreds of visitors each year.
