Thursday and Friday are projected to be the warmest days, with highs near 85°F in areas like Melbourne and Titusville. Coastal areas may see slightly cooler temperatures due to sea breezes. The weather service notes that no heat indexes will exceed 90°F, keeping conditions comfortable for outdoor activities.
Residents are advised to stay prepared for potential changes later in the week, though no major systems are currently tracked. The dry conditions are ideal for events like the Melbourne International Airport’s annual open house, which runs through Sept. 25.
Local meteorologists say the pattern is typical for late September, with the region transitioning into a drier phase before the Atlantic hurricane season’s peak. No tropical threats are expected to impact the Space Coast during this period.
