Eggs Up Grill opened its Cocoa Beach location on N. Atlantic Ave. in late 2023, marking the second restaurant owned by local franchisee Chris Schmidt. The new spot at 2023 N. Atlantic Ave. follows Schmidt’s first Eggs Up Grill in Melbourne, which he opened nearly two decades ago. Schmidt, who has lived in Brevard County for 19 years, said the expansion was driven by personal and professional ties to the area.
Schmidt called the new restaurant a natural next step, citing support from Eggs Up Grill’s corporate team and the community. He emphasized his focus on people-driven leadership, a philosophy he says has helped build strong teams at both locations.
The restaurant is already open but plans a grand opening event with promotions, giveaways, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Schmidt said the community’s support made the second location possible.
Ricky Richardson, CEO of Eggs Up Grill, praised Schmidt’s approach. He highlighted Schmidt’s commitment to his team and community as aligning with the brand’s values.
The Cocoa Beach location serves breakfast and lunch daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. It offers dine-in, online ordering, and catering, with menu items including omelets and breakfast sandwiches.
