Eastwind Development has begun construction on The Aston at Longleaf, a residential community located in Brevard County’s northwestern corridor. The project, situated near the intersection of State Road 46 and Longleaf Road in Palm Bay, marks the company’s latest investment in the region’s growing housing market. The Aston at Longleaf is expected to include approximately 200 single-family homes and townhouses when completed.
The development is part of a larger masterplan that includes planned retail, dining, and recreational spaces. Eastwind officials said the project will prioritize sustainability, with features like energy-efficient designs and water conservation systems. The first phase of construction is set to be completed by late 2025.
Local officials welcomed the project as a boost to the area’s economy. Brevard County Commissioner David R. Williams said the development will create jobs and increase housing options for residents. "This is exactly the kind of growth we need," Williams said during a recent meeting.
The Aston at Longleaf is one of several new residential projects underway in Brevard County as the population continues to rise. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county’s population grew by 14% between 2010 and 2020, driven in part by job opportunities in aerospace and technology sectors.
Eastwind Development has not yet released details about pricing or availability for the homes. The company said it will host an open house event in the coming weeks for prospective buyers to tour the construction site.
