The Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis team arrived at Tyler Junior College on Friday ranked third in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s NJCAA Division I national rankings. The Titans will face four teams in the top six of the national standings over the next two days, starting with No. 5 Cowley College at 1 p.m. and No. 6 Collin College at 7 p.m. on Friday. Matches continue Saturday with No. 10 Weatherford College at 1 p.m. and No. 4 Pratt Community College at 7 p.m.
The tournament, held at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, is a key event for the Titans as they aim to solidify their position in the rankings. The team’s roster includes players such as Zach Achour, Pablo Garcia, Will Hsieh, Kurz Cardozo, Fernando Martinez, Marko Miljanic, Johan Mottlau, Salva Mulet, Ignacio Sendra, and Filip Sormaz. The Titans’ first-round opponents are among the strongest in the NJCAA.
