Eastern Florida State College golfer Sean Jacoby set a course record with a 62 in the final round of the Glenlakes Invitational in Foley, Alabama, on March 12, 2026. The performance helped the Titans secure second place in the tournament, finishing one stroke behind individual medalist Grant Goslin of Central Alabama Community College. Jacoby’s 62 was the lowest score in the event’s history, according to tournament officials.
The Titans shot 5-under 285 in the final round, but Central Alabama Community College’s team score of 279 left the EFSC squad six strokes behind. Jacoby started the round with four consecutive birdies, then a bogey on the par-3 fifth hole. He finished the front nine 4-under par before birdying five straight holes on the back nine. His final-round score was the highlight of the Titans’ effort, which included strong performances from other team members.
Jacoby’s round included a stretch of six consecutive birdies on the back nine, a feat that drew praise from coaches and fellow competitors. He said the course conditions were ideal, allowing for aggressive play. ‘The greens rolled true, and the fairways were in great shape,’ Jacoby said. ‘I just stayed focused and took advantage of the opportunities.’
Central Alabama’s Grant Goslin finished the tournament with a total score of 203, one stroke ahead of Jacoby. The Titans’ team score of 900 was the second-highest among all competitors. Head coach John Martinez called Jacoby’s performance ‘a career-defining moment’ and noted the team’s overall improvement throughout the tournament. ‘We had some shaky moments early on, but Sean’s final round put us in a great position,’ Martinez said.
