Eastern Florida State College will host a free Performing and Visual Arts Showcase on Saturday, March 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Simpkins Fine Arts Center on the Cocoa Campus (Building 4). The event is open to the public but requires RSVP due to limited seating. The showcase highlights student work across music, theatre, and visual arts programs.
The event includes live choral and instrumental music performances, a visual art exhibit featuring paintings and sculptures, and scenes from an upcoming production of *Into the Woods* by James Lapine. Students from EFSC’s Performing and Visual Arts programs will present their work, offering a glimpse into the college’s hands-on curriculum. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last.
Eastern Florida State College offers associate degrees and certificate programs in music, theatre, studio art, and dance. The showcase aims to demonstrate how these programs prepare students for bachelor’s-level studies or careers in the arts. The Simpkins Fine Arts Center, located on the Cocoa Campus, is a key venue for student performances and exhibitions.
The event is part of EFSC’s commitment to community engagement. Attendees can view student artwork, hear live music, and watch theatre rehearsals. RSVPs are required and can be submitted through the college’s website. The showcase provides an opportunity to see how EFSC supports arts education on the Space Coast.
