Bryce Jackson, a sophomore third baseman for Eastern Florida State College, has been named to the Florida College System Activities Association Division I All-Defensive Team. The honor marks the first time a non-catcher at the school has received such recognition, and Jackson is only the third Titan baseball player to earn All-Defensive Team honors since the program’s inception.
Jackson played in 40 games during the 2026 season, committing just four errors in 73 defensive chances. His .966 fielding percentage ranked among the best in the state for junior college infielders. He recorded 42 putouts and helped turn nine double plays, anchoring the Titans’ defense at third base.
Eastern Florida State College’s baseball program has a history of strong defensive play, but Jackson’s selection highlights a shift in focus. Previous All-Defensive Team members were all catchers, making Jackson’s recognition at third base a notable achievement. Coaches said his consistency and ability to handle difficult plays under pressure set him apart.
Jackson’s performance this season has drawn attention from scouts and college recruiters. His combination of defensive skills and offensive contributions—though not the team’s leading hitter—has made him a standout. With one season remaining in his eligibility, Jackson is expected to compete for more honors in 2027.
