Four members of the Eastern Florida State College softball team were named to the NFCA NJCAA Division I All-Region South Team on Monday. Sophomores Madison Velazquez, Annalyn Duncan, Aracelis Jimenez and Avery Velazquez were all honored on the first team. The recognition highlights the program’s strength and the individual achievements of players from Melbourne, Florida.
Madison Velazquez, a first baseman, hit .379 in 57 games this season, slugging six home runs and driving in 51 runs while scoring 34 times. Annalyn Duncan, playing second base, led the team with a .424 batting average, 14 home runs and 91 RBIs. Her 91 RBIs rank third in NJCAA Division I. Aracelis Jimenez, an outfielder, hit .449 with 25 RBIs and 77 runs scored in 61 games. She stole 38 bases, tying for 20th in the nation.
Avery Velazquez, a pitcher and utility player, went 12-6 this season with a 1.25 ERA in 112 1/3 innings pitched. She struck out 82 batters and contributed offensively at the plate. The four players represent the most first-team selections from any school in the NFCA All-Region South honors this year.
Eastern Florida State College’s softball program has consistently produced top-tier talent. The team’s success this season follows a strong performance in the 2026 Florida College System Activities Conference, where they finished with a 34-14 record. The NFCA honors are determined by coaches’ votes and reflect players’ performance in games, leadership and overall impact on the field.
