The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team will compete in the Glenlakes Invitational in Foley, Alabama, beginning Monday. The Titans, ranked seventh in the latest national poll, will face five other teams at Glenlakes Golf Club. Central Alabama Community College, ranked fifth nationally, will also compete, along with Coastal Alabama Community College-South (25th), Andrew College (35th), Southern Union State Community College, and Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.
The first two rounds of the tournament will take place Monday, with the final round scheduled for Tuesday morning. Jamie Smith, a Titans golfer ranked eighth nationally, has two tournament wins and two top-three finishes this season. His teammate Blake Hodges is ranked 21st.
The Glenlakes Invitational is a regional event drawing teams from across the Southeast. EFSC coach Mark Reynolds said the team has been preparing for weeks, focusing on course conditions and strategy. 'This is a chance to measure ourselves against strong competition,' he said.
The tournament will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel’s regional feed. Fans in Brevard County can watch the final round on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Local businesses have set up viewing areas at the Cocoa Beach Public Library and the Melbourne Square Mall.
EFSC’s golf program has grown in visibility over the past two years, with the Titans making regional semifinals in 2024 and 2025. The team’s success has drawn interest from colleges across the country, including offers from Division I programs in Texas and California.
