Eastern Florida State College's softball team is ranked 12th in the latest NJCAA Division I National Poll, released April 30. The Titans fell one spot after a 3-1 week, heading into their final regular-season games with two home doubleheaders. The rankings were announced as the team prepares for a key matchup against Miami Dade College at Titan Softball Complex on Tuesday, May 3 at 1 p.m.
Florida Southwestern State College holds the top spot for the second consecutive week, followed by Northwest Florida State College and Northeast Alabama Community College. Santa Fe College remains at No. 6, and Indian River State College is ranked 10th. Miami Dade College, which will visit EFSC for a Citrus Conference doubleheader, is 15th nationally. Seminole State College is 19th, and Daytona State College dropped to No. 23.
Eight teams from the FCSAA are currently ranked in the national poll. The doubleheader against Miami Dade will be free to attend, with live streaming available on the EFSC Titans YouTube page. The games are part of the Titans' final regular-season schedule before the NJCAA playoffs.
The team's drop to No. 12 comes as they face their last home games of the regular season. Coaches have emphasized focusing on consistency as the postseason approaches. Fans are encouraged to attend the Tuesday games or watch online, with no admission cost for the event.
