Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball player Sean Register Jr. was named the FCSAA Division I Player of the Week for the fifth time this season on Tuesday. The honor comes as the Titans’ standout guard continues to dominate the scoreboard, averaging 25.1 points per game this season — a mark that leads the FCSAA and ranks third in NJCAA Division I men’s basketball.
In Saturday’s 90-80 victory over Hillsborough Community College, Register Jr. delivered another standout performance, scoring 26 points on 12-of-14 shooting and grabbing 11 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. The senior guard has now scored at least 26 points in eight consecutive games and 20 or more points in each of his past 11 contests.
Register Jr.’s consistency has been a driving force for the Titans, who have remained competitive in the FCSAA Division I race. His ability to produce in high-pressure moments has drawn attention from coaches and scouts across the region. “He’s been relentless,” said one opposing team’s coach after facing him earlier this month. “He doesn’t miss shots when it matters.”
This is the fifth time Register Jr. has earned the FCSAA Player of the Week award this season, a feat that underscores his impact on the court. With the postseason approaching, his performance has positioned him as a top candidate for national honors. The Titans’ next game is set for March 5 at the Eastern Florida State College Gymnasium in Melbourne.
