Eastern Florida State College baseball will host St. Petersburg College in a Citrus Conference doubleheader at Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday, April 25. The first game is scheduled for 1 p.m. with free admission. The Titans, who have won four straight games, are looking to extend their winning streak in their final home games of the season.
The Titans defeated St. Petersburg College 12-8 in a game played Thursday night at St. Petersburg. Chris Carroll went 4-for-4 with four hits, while Ray Yero and Jacob Miller each had three hits in the win. The doubleheader on Saturday will be the final game for 17 sophomores on the Eastern Florida roster, including Parker Trowbridge, who is expected to play his last game at Bruce Bochy Field.
Bruce Bochy Field, located on the Eastern Florida campus in Cocoa, has been a key venue for the Titans this season. The stadium has a capacity of 2,500 and has hosted multiple conference games this spring. Fans who cannot attend in person can watch the doubleheader live on the EFSC Titans YouTube channel.
The Citrus Conference standings are tight heading into Saturday’s games. Eastern Florida holds a three-game lead over St. Petersburg in the conference’s South Division. The Titans’ four-game winning streak has lifted their overall record to 22-14 on the season.
