A new Jamaican restaurant will open next month at Merritt Square Mall on Merritt Island, according to co-owner Lora Cross. Crossroads Jerk Center will occupy 777 E Merritt Island Causeway, adding to the mall’s existing food options like Margarita Island and China Max. The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor dining with live entertainment seven days a week, Cross said.

The menu will focus on jerk cuisine, with dishes like chicken, pork, curry goat, and oxtail soup. Cross described the approach as "jerk everything," emphasizing the variety of proteins and traditional Jamaican flavors. The restaurant’s name reflects its commitment to the cuisine, she added.

Merritt Square Mall, which already houses stores like Dillard’s and JCPenney, will see its first Jamaican restaurant in the area. Cross confirmed the opening date as next month but did not specify a day. The restaurant will operate under the same name as the co-owner’s previous ventures.

The location is part of Merritt Island’s growing restaurant scene, which includes other mall-based eateries. Cross said more details about the menu and entertainment schedule will be shared soon. The address is 777 E Merritt Island Causeway, Merritt Island, FL 32952.
