Construction has begun on Stellar Townhomes at Space Coast, a 201-unit development at 3795 Flypark Drive in Rockledge, Florida. The project, which broke ground earlier this month, will include two-, three-, and four-bedroom townhomes ranging from 1,400 to 2,000 square feet. The site was previously an airport, according to the developer, and is now being transformed into a build-to-rent (BTR) community. Stellar Communities, the developer, purchased the land for $10.7 million in 2025 and secured over $40 million in financing to fund the project.

Interior finishes will include quartz countertops, energy-efficient appliances, and “elegant features and design,” as stated on the project’s website. On-site amenities will feature a swimming pool and a dog washing station. The project is part of Stellar Communities’ expansion in Brevard County, where it has previously developed projects like Stellar Central Park in Port Saint Lucie and the Havens at Palm Bay Reserve, which is expected to welcome its first residents on August 1.

Stellar initially planned a larger 318-unit multi-family project on the site but scaled back after those plans failed to materialize. The company has been active in Florida’s real estate market since 2022, with its previous projects now fully constructed or nearing completion. The current development is located in Rockledge, a city in Brevard County, and is expected to bring new housing options to the area.

The townhomes will be marketed as a BTR community, which typically targets renters rather than homebuyers. This model has gained traction in recent years as an alternative to traditional rental markets. Stellar Communities has not disclosed when the first units will be available for lease, but the project is expected to be completed in the coming years. The development’s proximity to Flypark Drive, a major thoroughfare in Rockledge, may make it accessible to nearby businesses and residents.

Residents of the new townhomes will have access to amenities designed to appeal to families and pet owners. The developer has emphasized modern finishes and efficient layouts in its marketing materials. With financing secured and construction underway, the project is a significant step for Stellar Communities in Brevard County, where housing demand has grown in recent years due to population increases and the region’s economic ties to the space industry.
