Andrew Hiers, a classically trained opera singer working at Boniface Hiers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Cocoa, has gone viral for performing car-themed arias on the dealership lot. His videos, which blend operatic vocals with sales pitches for vehicles, have been shared by NPR, The Washington Post, and CBS since April 26. Hiers, 34, began rewriting famous operatic arias with lyrics about cars like the Dodge Ram and Jeep Wagoneer to generate sales leads. He posted the videos on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube in early April, and a screen recording of one performance spread rapidly on social media. The videos led to national media coverage and a surge in traffic to the dealership. Hiers grew up in West Palm Beach and started singing in church choirs as a teenager. He studied music in college and performed in regional opera productions before transitioning to car sales in January. He said he never expected his unique approach to draw national attention. 'I just wanted to make people smile,' Hiers said. The dealership owner, A.J. Hiers, confirmed the two men are not related. Local officials and business leaders have praised Hiers' creativity, noting the videos have boosted foot traffic to the dealership by 40% since the campaign began. Hiers plans to continue blending his two passions, with future performances scheduled for Mother's Day and Independence Day.
