Destination Downtown Food Hall, the first food hall on the Space Coast, has permanently closed its doors at 2 N. Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa Beach. The venue, which opened in June 2025, featured eight vendors including a beer and mimosa bar. OG Enterprises, the parent company, announced the closure on its Facebook page, stating the property will be reimagined as AVÎRA, a new hospitality concept. The closure comes just months after the company revealed plans for a second food hall in Cape Canaveral.
The original food hall drew crowds with its diverse menu. Vendors included Fowl Mouth, serving Southern-inspired fried chicken and burgers, and BBrads Coastal BBQ, offering Florida-style barbecue. Von Asia Kitchen brought Jamaican-Asian fusion, while Troy Anatolian Kitchen focused on Turkish-Mediterranean vegetarian dishes. The space also included Vampire Penguin for shaved snow desserts and Mimi’s Mimosas for tropical cocktails and craft beer.
OG Enterprises had previously announced a second food hall at 8801 Astronaut Blvd. in Cape Canaveral as part of The Waves District. The project was in the planning phase, with a 5,000-square-foot building expected to open in 2026. However, the future of that location remains unclear after the closure of the Cocoa Beach site.
Oshri Gal, a Cocoa Beach native and owner of OG Enterprises, could not be reached for comment. The transformation of the original food hall into AVÎRA marks a shift in strategy for the company. No details about the new concept have been released, but the statement emphasizes a complete overhaul of the space and experience.
The closure leaves a gap in Cocoa Beach’s dining scene. The food hall had become a local destination, drawing visitors with its variety of cuisines and casual atmosphere. With no immediate plans for another food hall in the area, residents and visitors will have to wait to see what AVÎRA brings to the space.
