Destination Downtown Food Hall, which opened in June 2025 at 2 N. Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa Beach, has shut down after 10 months. The food hall was the Space Coast’s first of its kind, featuring multiple vendors and a beer and mimosa bar. OG Enterprises, the parent company, announced the closure on its Facebook page, stating the space will become a new hospitality project called AVÎRA. The post described the change as a ‘full reimagination’ rather than a refresh.
The food hall originally included vendors like Fowl Mouth, which served Southern-inspired fried chicken and burgers, and Von Asia Kitchen, offering Jamaican-Asian fusion dishes. Other tenants were BBrads Coastal BBQ, Troy Anatolian Kitchen, and Vampire Penguin, known for shaved snow desserts. Mimi’s Mimosas provided tropical cocktails and craft beer. The property also had plans for a second food hall at 8801 Astronaut Blvd. in Cape Canaveral, part of The Waves District. That project was in the planning phase and expected to include a 5,000-square-foot building.
OG Enterprises owner Oshri Gal, a Cocoa Beach native, could not be reached for comment about the closure or the status of the second location. The first food hall’s closure comes just over a year after its opening. The Facebook post did not specify a reopening date for AVÎRA.
The space at 2 N. Atlantic Ave. had been a hub for local food vendors and visitors since June 2025. Its departure leaves a gap in Cocoa Beach’s dining scene, though the transformation into AVÎRA suggests a shift in focus for the property. The second food hall in Cape Canaveral remains in development, but no updates have been shared publicly.
Local residents and frequent visitors to the food hall expressed mixed reactions online. Some praised the variety of options, while others lamented the closure. The future of AVÎRA will depend on OG Enterprises’ plans, which have not yet been detailed beyond the initial announcement.
