A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is set to open at Space Coast Town Center in West Melbourne after developers filed plans for a 5,583-square-foot restaurant with parking and drive-thru facilities. The project is part of a two-phase development by Barron Collier Investment Partners. Phase one includes 77,700 square feet of retail space, a grocery store anchor, and 300 apartments. Phase two could add up to 70,000 square feet of commercial space. The full development is expected to include over 2,000 residential units, 300 hotel rooms, 360,000 square feet of office space, and 257,000 square feet of retail and dining space. Developers also announced Chipotle, Panda Express, and Taco Bell will be part of the site. Existing Chick-fil-A locations in Brevard include spots on N. Wickham Road in Melbourne and Merritt Island Causeway. A new Chick-fil-A will replace the former Barnes & Noble on W. New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne. The project highlights growing interest in West Melbourne's commercial corridor, with officials noting the area's potential for mixed-use growth. No timeline was provided for the Chick-fil-A's construction, but the town center's first phase is expected to break ground in 2027.
