City officials are exploring grant proposals for state or federal funding to strengthen infrastructure resilience. Larger rockets like NASA’s Artemis moon rocket and SpaceX’s Starship could increase stress on local systems. Cape Canaveral Mayor John Smith said the city needs to act quickly. 'We’re seeing more launches than ever before, and our infrastructure has to keep pace,' Smith said during a recent interview.
